If you plan on joining Roberta's cheerleaders on Friday, please leave a comment so we can coordinate on how to find each other. I'll be adding a map this week.
Cheering Stations
Public cheering stations are a great way to show your support along the route to encourage walkers and let them know that you are with them every step of the way. Seeing familiar faces cheering them on can provide that extra burst of energy that gets them to take that next step or go the next mile. Create banners, hold up signs, bring some music and make some noise - anything to make them smile, get energized and keep walking.

I have a 10am appointment in Oakland, so I'll be joining later in the day on Ocean Beach. I'm considering going to the Opening Ceremonies.
ReplyDeleteI will be thare in purrson on Friday to cheer on Jeter's Mom. I hope we get there before she walks by.
ReplyDeleteCan we hook up via phone on Friday so we can meet up to cheer somewhere?
ReplyDeleteI want to make sure that everyone who's planning on cheering has transportation nailed and has an idea of where to meet. There are a number of people not on FB who've expressed an interest in joining us.
ReplyDeleteI do not currently have a cell phone. If Jeff is with me, that's less of a problem.
I will be at the Ocean Beach Cheering station around 1:30 or 2:00. I'll be wearing a pink T- shirt from the Camellia Grill in New Orleans and carrying my Chai purse. Look for me!!
